In 2022, Kim Sae-ron was involved in a drunk-driving incident, which led
to her being charged with hitting a guardrail while driving under the
influence. She was fined 20 million won (approximately $13,850 USD) in her
first trial in April 2023.

theater, but faced controversy and eventually resigned due to health reasons.
