Winter Storm Wreaks Havoc on Southern Ontario

A powerful winter storm has brought significant disruptions to Southern Ontario, with over 20 cm of snowfall reported in some areas. The storm has caused widespread road closures, travel delays, and hazardous conditions.

According to Environment Canada, the winter storm warning remains in effect for most of Southern Ontario, with residents advised to stay indoors and avoid travel unless necessary.

The city of Hamilton has been particularly hard hit, with over 25 cm of snowfall reported. The city has declared a state of emergency and deployed crews to clear roads and sidewalks.

Residents are being advised to exercise extreme caution when traveling and to stay indoors unless absolutely necessary. The city is also urging residents to check on vulnerable neighbors and to report any concerns to authorities.

The winter storm is expected to continue throughout the day, with temperatures dropping even lower overnight.
